Paratransit service is door-to-door transportation for disabled persons who are eligible under provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. However, CUBS reserves the right to revise passenger pickup and drop off locations if the door-to-door service creates a safety hazard to the paratransit vehicle, driver or passengers.

When:
The paratransit service operates daily, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Paratransit vehicles run parallel to the regular CUBS' fixed bus route service.

Service Area: The paratransit service operates in the same area as the regular bus routes, as well as on streets within three-quarters of a mile on both sides of the routes. With the exception of Route 12, all five CUBS routes operate within the City limits of Longview and Kelso.

Response Time:
The paratransit provider responds to service requests on a next-day basis. In addition to the "next day" service, CUBS offers immediate response paratransit service as a "premium" non-ADA service. Premium service is defined as requests received the same day of service.

Premium Service Fares: The fare for premium service, requests received the same day as service, is $15.00 each way. If the passenger travels with a personal care attendant, the attendant will ride free of charge. However, guests of the passenger will be charged the premium service fee of $15.00 each way.

Will Call Fares: A $5.00 will call fare is charged for trips in which the pickup time is not prearranged (e.g. medical or legal appointments), or when a vehicle is required to be dispatched to pick up a passenger after a missed pick up that was within the passenger's control. Trips in which a passenger changes the return trip time less than one hour prior to the scheduled return trip is also considered will call service, and the $5.00 fare is charged. The $5.00 fare is waived for return trips rescheduled one hour or more before the prearranged trip.
